This painting was completed using a reference photograph taken with a second hand medium format camera (6cm x 6cm negatives) which I bought from a charity shop for £5.00
Highbridge Estuary, Somerset. Gouache.
This is a view of the boat yard at the Highbridge end of the Estuary. It is the first landscape I've completed using Gouache.
Looe, Cornwall. Acrylic.
This view is based on one of my holiday snaps taken on a short break in Cornwall. It did rain in the morning, but brightened later.
Mark, Somerset. Gouache.
This black & white Gouache painting is based on a photo I took with an Infra Red filter fitted to the camera. It isn't snow!
Highbridge Estuary, Somerset. Acrylic.
This is a favourite view of mine. The boat sat on the bank is a bit battered and probably not sea worthy, however it does make a good photograph or painting.
Burnham-on-Sea Estuary, Somerset. Acrylic.
This is painted from a photograph of a boat returning from the sea and traveling back up the estuary towards Highbridge. I thought it looked good with the man stood on top of the boat.
Sidmouth, Devon. Watercolour pencils.
I had a go at drawing with watercolour pencils for this holiday snap of Sidmouth in Devon. It was my first attempt, and I'm quite pleased with the results.
Crooke Peak, Mendip Hills, North Somerset. Watercolour pencils.
I stopped the car and took a photo of this scene, which I had a go at completing in watercolour pencils.
